From the West

Interstate 76 East (PA Turnpike) / Interstate 83 North

  1. Use Interstate 76 EAST (PA Turnpike) Exit 242; merge onto Interstate 83 North.
  2. Travel north towards Harrisburg.
  3. On Interstate 83 North, from the Susquehanna River Bridge, take Exit 43 towards Second Street / State Capitol.
  4. Continue north on South Second Street (slight left after 1st red light at Paxton St).

From the East

Interstate 76 West (PA Turnpike) / Interstate 83 South

  1. Use I76 WEST (PA Turnpike) Exit 247; merge onto Interstate 283 North to PA 283 – Harrisburg / Hershey.
  2. Travel north on Interstate 283. Stay in left lane and take Exit 3A on the left; merge onto Interstate 83 South towards Harrisburg.
  3. On Interstate 83 South, take Exit 43 towards Second Street / State Capitol.
  4. Continue north on South Second Street (slight left after 1st red light at Paxton St).

From the North or South

Interstate 81

  1. Take Interstate 81 to Exit 66 – Front Street (old Exit 22).
  2. Take the ramp for South Front Street.
  3. Proceed South on Front Street.
  4. Pass Maclay Street and continue towards Forster Street.

Parking Instructions

Parking SignPHFA is located on the corner of Front and Locust Street.  Please enter our building from Front Street and check-in at the reception desk. Public parking is available at several locations throughout the City of Harrisburg at a minimal fee.

If a PHFA staff member has granted you access to the PHFA parking garage, please be advised of the following.

  1. The PHFA parking garage will accommodate a vehicle as tall as 6-feet-7-inches.
  2. To enter our parking garage, go past our building on Front Street. Turn left on the next street after our building, which is Locust Street. Then turn left on River Street (an alley) before reaching Second St. Go past our loading dock on the left and drive into the entrance to the parking garage and stop at the gate. ∗For GPS, use 211 N River St, Harrisburg PA.
  3. Push the button on the call box and give the receptionist your name. Once confirmed you are on the list, the receptionist will open the gate to the garage.
  4. Drive to the top of the ramp and park in any of the spaces marked with a blue "Visitor" sign posted on the wall.
  5. Take the elevator to the lobby (Ground) and have the receptionist call the PHFA employee with whom you are meeting.
